The Livermore Public Library invites the community to join its annual Summer Learning Program, from May 26 through August 4, with opportunities for readers of all ages to learn, explore, and win exciting prizes.
2026 Carl Melius Award Recognition
Altamont Creek Elementary teacher Teren Ruiz Frazier was recognized by the LVJUSD Board of Education as one of two recipients of the Carl Melius Award, which honors elementary teachers who excel in integrating science into their classroom instructions.
Board Recognition
The LVJUSD Board of Education recognized the Altamont Creek Elementary Resource Learning Center team for their dedication to supporting student success.
Principal Andrea Tapia honored Heather Kitt, Suzanne Klinefelter, Radha Padala, and Sonia Laguna for their collaborative, student-focused work. Through strong relationships and consistent support, the team helps students build confidence, develop skills, and feel safe, seen, and valued as part of the school community.

A superintendent finalist has been unanimously selected by the LVJUSD Board of Education. Contract approval is set for June 16th.
