August 12, 2024

Dear LVJUSD Families,

On behalf of the LVJUSD staff, I want to welcome you back to the 2024-25 school year! In my relatively short time here, I have had the opportunity to visit our schools and meet with our dedicated teachers, administrators, and staff who have been diligently preparing for this new year. We look forward to seeing you tomorrow for the first day of school! Our Bond and Maintenance, Operations, and Facilities teams worked especially hard this summer as they continued with construction, maintenance, and the deep cleaning of our campus grounds and facilities. We appreciate your patience as we continue with projects that may be impacting normal operations at some of our sites. Any temporary dust or inconvenience will ultimately result in improved school facilities, and we look forward to how those improvements will benefit our students!

Connecting with parents, students, and our community is very important to me. If you happen to see me on campus or at community events, please don’t hesitate to say hello. I look forward to establishing regular communication with you that will keep you informed of our educational goals and priorities, student achievement, budget, and ways to become more involved in your child’s education.

Please get a good night’s sleep and remember to give yourself a little extra time to get to school safely tomorrow as we all know the challenges of traffic, especially with a new school year. We look forward to a great first day and a great school year!
